What does this mean on your roof?
The material name does not describe the complete installation. Ask which product is proposed, how the substrate is prepared and how penetrations and edges are connected.
An uninterrupted surface presents different junction questions from a roof containing many rooflights and upstands. Suitability follows from that complete setting rather than the broad material category alone.
When comparing EPDM with bitumen, equivalent scope matters more than declaring a universal winner. Removal, insulation, drainage and edge finishing should be identifiable in both offers. Attachment also belongs to the system. Retain product information so a future repair can address the actual installed membrane rather than an unspecified rubber roof.
